TrueStock for Final Cut Pro
True film, from negative to print.
TrueStock runs your footage the way a film lab would: camera log into a film negative, your grade, then a print stock. Pick the stocks; grade with exposure, push and pull measured like film.
Before / after
Log in. Film out.
On the left, flat camera log, straight from the camera. On the right, the same shot through a film negative and the print you pick. Drag the line to compare, and try every print.
Sample footage was converted to ARRI LogC3 for this demo, then run through TrueStock's own D250 Daylight negative and each print at its Standard preset, with every other control at its default. In Final Cut you start from your camera's real log.

The whole inspector
A lab's worth of controls, in order.
Every section has its own eye to bypass it and a reset, so you can see exactly what each stage adds.
- 01Film negative
Your camera's log format (Apple, ARRI LogC3 and LogC4, Blackmagic, Canon, DJI, Fujifilm, Leica, Nikon, Panasonic, RED, Sony) into D250 Daylight or T500 Tungsten, with High Density versions for more latitude.
- 02Print
Eleven prints, each in Standard, Soft and Rich, with a Print Mix to dial it back.
- 03Exposure, push and pull
Exposure on the camera's own log curve, so highlights roll into the negative's shoulder. Push rates the stock faster and develops longer for more contrast and richer colour.
- 04Tone
Contrast around a pivot you set in stops, plus highlights and shadows.
- 05White balance
Temperature and tint applied as printer lights, the way a colour timer balances a print.
- 06Saturation and colour balance
Saturation overall and by range, and a hue and amount for shadows, midtones and highlights.
- 07Output
Look Mix blends the whole effect with your original shot.
